General Information
We welcome your interest in enrolling your child(ren) in United Christian School.  Admission to UCS is based upon the Admissions Policy and agreements contained herein.  It is important that all the information is read carefully and all forms filled out completely.

Steps to Admission
We appreciate your interest in United Christian School and would like to serve you and your family.  We welcome you to apply for admission.
  1. Complete the admissions application.
  2. Return the completed admissions application to the office or mail it to the school.
  3. Your completed application will be reviewed by the administrator for consideration and you will be contacted.

Admissions Dates and Details
Applications for the next year are considered in the following order:
  • Current UCS families enrolling another student.
  • Applicants from last year who did not get in due to lack of space.
  • New applicants who have currently submitted applications.
  • Reenrollment for current students takes place in March.
  • The $50 application fee is not refundable.
  • Your student(s) may be placed in an "applicant pool."  Consideration of your application is not based on the date of application.
  • An interview with the administrator may not be scheduled until there is space available for your student(s).
  • No additional fees will be accepted until there is space available for your student(s).
  • We are not able to guarantee space until your student(s) have been officially accepted.
  • If your student(s) are not enrolled for the next academic year, the $50 application fee can be applied to the following year should you choose to reapply.  It will be your responsibility to reactivate your student(s) file(s) for the next year by calling or writing to us in January.
  • It is our desire to be consistent with these procedures and give each applicant the same consideration.  Thank you for taking time to inquire about United Christian School.

It has been our joy to serve your family this year through the ministry of United Christian School. In light of current economic indicators, we have kept the tuition increase to a minimum. At the same time we will enhance faculty and staff compensation next year as much as the increase will allow. Thank you for the sacrifices you make to provide a Christian education to your children. We pray that the Lord will direct you to continue to be a part of all that God is doing here. We look forward to continuing to serve your family in the next school year.

Pre-registration forms for students attending UCS currently can be picked up in the office.  The deadline for current UCS students to turn in their completed forms is May 15, 2012.  Registration fee is $25.00 per student now, or $50  per student after May 15th.

Financial assistance is available. For information and application forms, contact us. We strongly urge you to apply for scholarships through Student Tuition Organizations (STOs).



2012-2013 Tuition Schedule

  • K-8
  • Annual tuition: $3,925

Tuition may be paid over

11 months (July 1-May 1) at $357.00/month.

10 months (August 1-May 1) at $392.50/month.

September and later - May (school year):$415.00/month. 

           3 & 4 year old Preschool

              Tuition $125/month for 2 days/week

$145/month for 3 days/week

$165/month for 4 days/week

Extended Care: 3 Years Old - 11 Years Old: $2.75/hour 

Limited financial aid may be available.

7 WAYS TO PAY

 

United Christian School has several options to help fund part or all of a student's tuition.  We encourage families who desire a Christian education for their children and meet the academic and spiritual qualifications to investigate these great avenues to making hope a reality.


1.     Individual Scholarships: (1)No income guidelines to meet; (2)All families may apply for this scholarship; (3)Apply at as many STOs as you wish

2.     Corporate Scholarships: (1)Income guidelines to meet and one of these criteria (a)Transferring from public/charter to UCS, or (b)Entering Kindergarten, or (c)Active military, or (d)Previously received individual scholarships; (2)Apply at as many Corporate STOs as you wish

3.     Overflow Scholarships: (1)No income guidelines to meet and one of these criteria (a)Transferring from a public/charter to UCS, or (b)Entering Kindergarten, or (c)Active military, or (d)Previously received corporate or overflow scholarships; (2)Apply at as many STOs as you wish

 

4.     Empowerment Scholarship Account: (1)No income guidelines to meet, and either (a)Previously received ESA for the prior period, or (b)Attended Arizona public school for the first 100 days of the prior year and have a current IEP or 504 Plan, or (c)Qualify under Disabled/Displaced Pupils Program with the Arizona Department of Revenue

 

5.     TRIP: Tuition Reduction Incentive Program.  UCS offers families the opportunity to shop and save.  Purchase gift cards for your favorite stores and have a portion of what you spend come back to your tuition account at UCS.

6.     Financial Aid: Financial assistance is available for those who qualify.  Funds for this are limited and will not cover all expenses but can be used to supplement the cost of tuition.  Applications are available in the office.

7.     Student Referral Program: A major goal of UCS is to enroll Christian families who value a Christian school education for their children.  Any UCS family who introduces a prospective family to UCS, resulting in enrollment, will receive a tuition credit of between $100 and $357 (depending on the time of enrollment and the monthly tuition rate at that time).
